Five dice, up to three rolls per turn. Double-tap the dice you want to keep to lock them, then reroll the rest to build three or four of a kind, a full house (3 + 2), a straight or five of a kind — a Yahtzee. Each box on the score sheet can be used once; after 13 rounds the highest total wins.

Six dice. Each 1 scores 100, each 5 scores 50, and three of a kind scores the face × 100 (three 1s = 1,000). After each roll, lock at least one scoring die, then bank your points or reroll the rest. Roll no scoring dice and you lose everything from that turn. First to 10,000 wins.

Five dice, up to three rolls. You must set aside a 6 (ship), a 5 (captain) and a 4 (crew), in that order. The two remaining dice are your cargo — their total is your score. No ship, captain and crew means zero. Highest cargo wins.

Each player has five dice, rolls on their own phone and keeps them hidden. Take turns bidding on how many of a face are on the table, e.g. “four 5s”. The next player must bid higher (more dice or a higher face) or call “liar”. Then everyone reveals: if the bid was too high the bidder loses, otherwise the caller loses. Ones are usually wild.

Roll six dice and win prizes by the number of 4s and combinations: one 4 is the lowest prize, two 4s the next, four of a kind (not 4s), three 4s, a 1–6 straight, and four 4s — the “Zhuangyuan”, top scholar. Five or six of a kind beat everything. A bigger Zhuangyuan can steal the title from the current one.

Before rolling three dice, everyone guesses Big or Small: a total of 4–10 is Small, 11–17 is Big, and any triple means the “house” wins. Great as a party game where the losers take a small forfeit.

Two dice. Before the roll, everyone calls Chō (even total) or Han (odd total). One rule and done — the classic dice game of Japanese period dramas.

Two dice, read with the higher die first: 21 (“Mäxchen”) is the best, then doubles 66, 55 … 11, then 65, 64 … down to 31. Roll in secret and announce a higher number than the last player — you may lie. The next player believes you and rolls on, or calls the bluff. The liar, or the wrong accuser, loses a life.

Three dice, up to three rolls, keeping any dice you like. The best combination is 4-2-1, then three 1s, three of a kind and straights. In French cafés it decides who buys the next round.

Two dice tell you how far to move: each die is a separate move, and doubles let you move four times. Lost your dice? Roll here instead.

Monopoly uses two dice and doubles roll again; Ludo uses one die and you need a 6 to leave home. Perfect when the dice have gone missing.

Roll a d20 and add your modifier; meet the difficulty class (DC) to succeed. With advantage roll 2d20 and take the higher, with disadvantage the lower. A natural 20 is a critical success, a natural 1 a critical fail. Set the modifier in the Polyhedral section and the total is worked out for you.

Sit in a circle and take turns rolling. “Truth” means answer a question, “Dare” means take a challenge, and “Pick someone” lets the roller choose who goes next. Customize the faces with your group’s own inside jokes.

Tap any story die in the Dice panel and you get all three — Objects, Characters and Places. Roll them together and improvise a story using all three. Great for kids, creative writing classes and icebreakers — or go round the table adding one sentence each.

Roll a “Who?” die and a Chores die together to decide who does what in one go — no more arguing over the dishes. Swap the chores die for Workout Challenge and it becomes a party forfeit roll.

Stuck choosing? Roll it. “What to eat?” picks from popular dishes and “Decide for me” answers do it, don’t, wait a bit and more. Change the faces to your favorite local restaurants to decide even faster.
